Lent Reflections: Mar. 5, 2016

Trust in God’s mercy

How should we turn to God for mercy? How about scheduling a conference call with God today? Mark your calendar and set aside some time. You can choose any hour, as God always has time for us! No need to prepare a PowerPoint presentation or a detailed list of items to cover. No need to bring your computer or smart phone. Come with an open mind to a quiet space; bring an awareness of God’s presence to the conversation. “O God, be merciful to me a sinner” is a humble opening line. You will find the rest of the words deep in your heart.
