WHAT: Candlelight
prayer vigils being held nationwide to pray for the
future
of the Catholic
Church, for its laity and leadership, in hopes that together
they will be able to discern how to handle the many problems
which beset the Church – including clergy sexual
abuse, bankruptcies, church and school closings, declining
Mass attendance, and decreasing interest in the Church
among young people.
