The St. Louis Post-Dispatch notes: “St. Louis Archbishop Raymond Burke is considering taking over bookkeeping for all 197 parishes in the archdiocese, modernizing a structure that's lasted for centuries.”

Good news! A Palm Beach Post editorial reports a financial accountability success story in which VOTF played a significant role.

Stamford, CT: The Stamford Advocate reports that a pastor resigned this week after “a preliminary financial audit uncovered more than $500,000 in spending that the Bridgeport Diocese is trying to account for, officials said yesterday.”

The USCCB is also concerned about financial accountability. Read more.
