Message from VOTF vice president Kris Ward: GOVERNANCE WONKS UNITE!

The talents of Voice of the Faithful members who have an interest in building a structure of governance for Voice of the Faithful are being earnestly sought by the Governance Committee.

If you have the temperament and the inclination to participate in the diligent work of crafting the structure that Voice of the Faithful needs for governance, please let us know. If you are a diagram-and-chart person, a wonk for design, a nuts-and-bolts person, we are looking for you. Please volunteer.

Conference calls and emails will be necessary, as well as independent work. A period of concentrated work will be needed in order for the committee to be successful. This is not a glamorous committee but it's an extremely important element in the ongoing work of establishing a voice for the laity - within the organization, as well as within our Church.

Dedicated Voice of the Faithful members have given extended time to this committee but there is a great deal more to do. In a grass roots movement such as Voice of the Faithful, progress depends on the many. For the benefit of all, this work needs to get done as quickly as possible. You are needed now - please consider bringing your voice to bear on the best hope the laity has had in a generation.
