VOTF Election 2005

Starting on October, 2004, nominations for President, Vice President, Secretary/Clerk and Treasurer for the year 2005 were mailed in (by those without computer access) and logged in by registered members.

Each nominee was contacted and asked if they wanted to be considered as a candidate for office . Those who chose to run were asked to submit background bio's or resumes, in addition to answering questions about their involvement in VOTF, their contributions in the office they seek and their hopes for VOTF. They were invited to write responses to the following questions and a summary statement of their reasons for running.

  1. What has been your involvement in VOTF to date? e.g., Are you a member of an affiliate? What role have you played? Give examples of work done with VOTF.

  2. How will you contribute to VOTF's pursuit of its mission and its three goals in the office you seek? e.g. What experience have you had that would help in this position? In your work, education, hobbies or otherwise? Do you currently, or have you recently, held a leadership position in any other organization?

  3. What are your hopes for VOTF, the movement, in the next year and in the future? e.g., What do you think are the challenges we face? What would you define as "success" for VOTF?

  4. Are you prepared to keep any of your hopes and desires for the future of the Church that are not related to our three goals out of public/formal discussions of VOTF?

  5. What inspired you to join VOTF?

  6. What work, ministries, volunteer activities have you participated in for the Church?

All Registered VOTF members are qualified to vote in this election. If you are not registered please click here and an email with voting instructions will be sent to you. If you do not have an email address a ballot will be mailed to you.

The deadline for voting is midnight EST, 9:00PM PST, Wednesday, December 22nd. The results of the election will be announced before the end of the week of the 27th.
