Thursday of the Third Week of Advent, Dec. 15, 2016
The psalmist tells us that God's anger lasts for a moment but his love endures forever. Today's reading from Isaiah holds so much promise for us as the people of God. "My love shall never fall away from you nor my covenant of peace never be shaken, says the Lord who has mercy on you." This promise has endured through all the ages. In ten days we will celebrate again our belief in this promise of unconditional love. Lift up your heart to the Lord; His love is enduring. Come, Lord Jesus, come!
