Six Key Recommendations from June 7, 2003, Boston-area VOTF
Parish Voice Conference & Workshops,
“Awakening to the Spirit, Envisioning the Future”
  1. *Representative, elected, and fully functional Parish Pastoral Councils & Finance Councils

  2. Healing programs for victim/survivors of clergy sexual abuse

  3. Increased sharing of best practices, such as programs to keep our children safe

  4. Greater communication and collaboration among laity, clergy, survivors, and Archdiocesan officials

  5. An expansion of lay education programs

  6. An end to the practice by a small number of pastors who, upon being named pastor of a new parish, have abolished the existing elected Parish Council, and an immediate restoration of those Councils.
