1. A Gathering Prayer
This short prayer was written by a VOTF meeting attendee and became that group's opening prayer for each of their gatherings. It has since been adopted by many affiliates:

"Let's take a moment to center ourselves in the presence of our brother Jesus Christ. As two or more, we gather in His name. As He promised, so we believe in His presence among us. We ask our parent God to send His Spirit to guide our every word and action here today toward our Savior's vision for the community He left behind and continues to embrace as we embrace His Presence among us. Amen."

2. Respectful Listening
Allow time for introductions of new attendees, and an opportunity to express reasons for attending or supporting VOTF for those who wish to do so.

3. Education

4. Discussion of Questionnaire on Parish Councils sent by the Structural Change Committee
There may be a whole group discussion. Participants may fill in the questionnaire at the meeting or bring it home to complete. The members should discuss how they may be able to disseminate the questionnaire to people in local parishes who may not have affiliates. We would like to have as many returns as possible.
