MEDIA ALERT

Voice of the Faithful Meets with Bishop Lennon

WHO: Voice of the Faithful’s President, Jim Post, and Bishop Richard G. Lennon, the interim administrator, Archdiocese of Boston.

WHAT: Will conduct their first face-to-face meeting.

WHEN: Tuesday, March 11that 4:00 p.m., ET. Press statements issued immediately afterwards.

WHERE: Bishop Lennon’s residence, 2121 Commonwealth Ave., Boston, Mass.

WHY: Jim Post will address the banning of Voice of the Faithful meetings on Church property previously imposed by Cardinal Law, seek a resolution regarding the Voice of Compassion – Boston fund and discuss the Boston Archdiocese’s divergence between its legal strategy and its commitment to pastoral care for survivors and laity.

HOW: Jim Post and Bishop Lennon will conduct a private meeting that is anticipated to last 1 to 1.5 hours. Upon conclusion of the meeting, Voice of the Faithful will be available to address questions from the press. Members of the press are encouraged to gather on the sidewalk, just outside the Chancery/Residence parking lot.
