Catholics Will Gather to Discuss the Selection of the New Archbishop for San Francisco

A FIRST IN MODERN TIMES IN THE USA

Voice of the Faithful – Northern California will host a Day of Discernment to pray, discuss, reflect and discern the future pastoral leadership of the Archdiocese of San Francisco on

Sunday October 9, 2005,
11:30 am until 3:30 pm’

1 Notre Dame Avenue,
(near 9th Avenue at El Camino Real),
San Mateo, Ca 94402.

This Day of Discernment is open to all Catholics, lay and ordained.

Voice of the Faithful points out that this gathering is in the best traditions of the ancient Church wherein the People of God selected their leaders and bishops.

The new Archbishop to San Francisco will face several serious issues including openness and accountability, the consolidation of parishes and ministries, rebuilding trust, a large debt and the serious shortage of priests.

All who are interested in participating in this event should register on-line.
or call (415) 751-1128 for voice recorded registration. Speakers, bios, process on website next week.
