VOTF Offers Cooperation to Fr. Erickson,
New Vicar General in Boston

Newton MA, April 6, 2006 - Voice of the Faithful (VOTF) is encouraged by the recent appointment of Fr. Richard Erickson as the new Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia for the Archdiocese of Boston. We are especially optimistic by his pledge to grant the laity a “new level of involvement in Archdiocesan leadership and decision –making.”

A national study has shown that VOTF members are among the most committed and involved Catholics in the United States. As elsewhere in the US, these are Catholics who stand ready and willing to participate in the work we share with Church leaders. “We pray for his success and trust that he will call upon the talents of our numerous proven and faithful members to aid him in the work all Catholics are called to do”, said Dorothy Kennedy, Chair of the Boston Area Council, VOTF.
